1. Saxon Tonight
2. Antone’s Thursday
3. On The Green

1. It’s Tuesday, so you know the drill, right? Rock and roll at the Saxon Pub with Kevin, Louis, Johnny, Darrin, and whatever special guests decide to show up. Louis promises to get freaky on the pedal steel, Darrin and Johnny will keep it all in the pocket (or just outside of it). Kevin instructs the people in Guitar Tone 301 – things you probably cannot do with the guitar and how to make it look easy while keeping the crowd enthusiastic and captivated. The fun starts at 10p.

2. FREE HAPPY HOUR AT ANTONE’S EVERY THURSDAY IN AUGUST. Must I spell it out for you? Avoid traffic and breathe easy as Kevin plays tunes from his extensive catalog of rock, roll, psychedelic mis-adventures, and a whole lot more. Hear SHAT tunes, maybe a Soulhat tune, and plenty of McVein. The Rhythm Ace is in full effect kicking down Sambas, Foxtrots and other booty shaking beats from the 70s. Antone’s. 6-9p. FREE.

3. On stands now: InSite Magazine feat. McVein. On the green: “For right-handers, comfortably using a golf club, the sensation should be Swinging the clubhead from the left target shoulder (the pivot point) which will contribute to travelling down the line. So the longish left arm swings tha club while, approaching the bottom of the swing arc, the right hand put on the hit.”
