Outdebox Press Release ('93 rerelease)

Last year, Kevin McKinney released a solo album entitled "McVein in Green". A new release is "in the can" and should be out in the next few months (Fall 2003).

In addition to these recordings, Kevin plays an acoustic guitar on the instrumental "12 Holiday Hits," released by Chocolate Records & he provides bass guitar and vocals on EARTHPIG AND FIRE's "Greatest Hits Vol. II," another hard-to-find local release (Pure Profit Records).

The Soulhat Web cannot provide you with information re: obtaining copies of the out-of-print recordings, as they are © (copyrighted) material and cannot be duplicated without violating the law.

However, Soulhat has a free taping policy that has been around since the beginning. As a result, there are many live shows on tape, dating as far back as 1990. The band does not allow soundboard recordings, but if you have your own recording gear (your own microphones & DAT, Mini- or Hard- Disc), you may tape and freely distribute current shows. AND ... (updated 9/03) Soulhat Web provides MP3 and WMA files of live performances, on a limited basis for download. You can find these links by heading over to the Soulhat Audio page.

Selling copies of Soulhat's live performances or even making available downloadable files (MP3, WMA, Real, et al) from Soulhat's commercially-released recordings violates the United States Copyright Act. (17 U.S.C. Section 101 et seq.). The sale of recordings of a live musical performance without the permission of the performer constitutes a violation of 17 U.S.C. Section 1101. For more on copyright and the serious consequences for infringement, follow this link.
